We are a collective of seven close friends studying at Glasgow School of Art. The exhibition we propose will encapsulate cross-disciplinary explorations of one location, Islay. We intend to spend four days on the Scottish island, creating intuitive, reactional works to the rich landscape. The exhibition is titled Archipelago because similar to the islands, our practices are independent of one another and yet show common overlaps uniting our work. We consider this process to be cyclical as our initial research and conclusion will be based in Glasgow, while the development process will take place elsewhere. We aim to use this factor to develop a communicative language between two despondent locations.
