This discussion event will introduce the idea of Universal Basic Income (UBI), exploring the arguments for and against it. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic interest in UBI has grown on both sides of the political spectrum. To illustrate the different interpretations of UBI and the intentions behind them, Lloyd will use evidence from pilot studies from around the world and examples of his participatory art projects.
